At Land2Ice, every team member—porters, chefs, drivers, and more— is devoted to meeting and surpassing your expectations for your Tanzania adventure.
We want to ensure that you succeed at your personal goals—whether it’s getting to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro or seeing rare species of beautiful animals. From our first conversation, we want to learn about you and your hopes and dreams. Together, we build a trip that fits your desires, abilities, values, and ambitions, within the guidelines of our safety protocols and the country’s rules and regulations.
From the heart of its stunning savannas to its majestic, ice-capped mountain tops!
A company that nurtures its people
Land2Ice is owned and operated by Tanzanians from villages and towns throughout the country. Land2Ice pays each of its employees above-average wages, which is vital to their families and villages. When you choose Land2Ice, you are choosing to help Tanzanian individuals, families, and communities to thrive.
Our employees are knowledgeable, experienced, and caring. All are trained in wilderness first aid. And they are also talented singers!
We help our staff reach their goals. For employees who want to change positions within the company, we help train them for their next job. For example, we offer short courses in English to porters who want to become waiters, a position that requires strong English competency.
Your safety is our top priority!
All game drives include accommodations, a vehicle with an English-speaking driver/guide, all meals and drinking water, hot water for bathing, park entry fees, 18% VAT tax, binoculars, and airport transfers.
On hiking expeditions, we provide tents and bedding. On safari, you may choose your level of accommodations, from comfortable tent lodges to luxury hotels.
On hiking expeditions, our staff prepares and serves three delicious meals a day, plus snacks and water or hot drinks. Meals are a mix of tasty, nutritious European and Tanzanian dishes, with fresh fruits and vegetables. We are happy to accommodate vegan and vegetarian preferences.
On safari trips, meals are provided by your hotel or lodge and are generally European.
